IMPORTANT: Clinical research shows that using Heat and Moisture Exchangers (HMEs) is the best way to take care of your lungs. If an HME is not an option for you, a Stoma Protector Bib can be an acceptable alternative, provided it seals completely. If you experience coughing and mucus, talk to your clinician about using HMEs.
